Graz Museum

The Palais Khuenburg is a four storey palais with a U-shaped footprint and a square courtyard. It was rebuilt in 1564 and has changed owners many times since then. The baroque portal with stone balcony was added 1710/20.

Archduke Franz Ferdinand of Austria – heir to the throne and assassinated in Sarajevo in 1914 – was born in this house in 1863. Today the Palais Khuenburg houses the Graz Museum.
